Michael Scott Cain
Michael Scott Cain taught Popular Culture and Literature on the community college level full-time for thirty years and as an adjunct for another ten. He is the author of seven chapbooks of poetry, most recently East Point Poems and three novels, including Midnight Train, a country music novel. He has written three nonfiction books, two of which examined small press publishing and one on community colleges.
Cain covers popular music and pop culture for the Frederick News-Post and serves as jazz, blues, poetry and folklore editor for Rambles, and online cultural journal.
He has published poetry, stories, articles and essays in more than seventy journals and magazines, including Publishers Weekly, The Journal of Popular Culture, The Journal of Popular Literature, The Kappan, Community College Review and The Humanist.
